Investing In Your Business

Finding Small Wins, Eyes On The Target, And Focusing On The Next Win

Sallee Technology llc Ads - Invest Small

Adverts – Iterative and Incremental, Design, Build, Release

Three simple points to drive home incremental successes, aim small, eyes on target and awareness to see beyond.

Aim small, finding wins that are impactful, can change experience in a positive manner and find the target. In not so many words, CBA, find cost effective ways to improve your customers experience. Eyes on target, bring a focus to your work, understand the value of customer diversity and how those opinions and experiences can improve your products and services in the market.

So, let’s dig into the image for a minute. I understand, you might ask, what is the significance around a stylized eye?. While it’s a illustration, zoomed in on a human right eye… cool colors, hard edges etc. Why an eye, right?

Vision, vision is the take away here. Having the ability to ‘see’, right or wrong, seeing (in some cases, using braille to see as an example). The image works more so for those who have vision issues per say, because the experience and the ability to see ‘value’ in a product or service is the point we are driving home. Do your customers understand the value in your products, service and more specifically the experience they might have when engaging in your product.

Next, understand or having the awareness to see beyond the trials and tribulations day-to-day. Understand the ups and downs in the market, how the ebb and flow takes place, the lifecycle of your product. With the satisfaction of learning from the experience, the challenge; the win. Testing is core to what we feel is the ‘learning’ process, the value gained from focusing on such a test, focusing on that test and learning from the outcome.

Final point, depending on budget, of course we have to understand the cost to such testing. However there are always ways to test your customers, learn from their experiences, understand how those ‘events’ change and/or improve your products lifecycle.

Capt. Jean-Luc: “Engage”

“El Capitan” – Sallee Technology

Adverts – Engage

Engage. Make it so. Authenticity, engaging, empathetic, leadership.

Star Trek? Fan? Maybe not. Although you may not get the reference, Star Trek 90’s – Star Trek: The Next Generation, often at the conclusion of the show, Captain Jean-Luc can be seen giving his orders on the bridge. Much like those captains of the past, rolling on the great blue sea, the show followed a familiar cadence, much like those who commanded the ships of our forefathers. We attribute this little nano ad to how we work with our customers to improve products and services. Starting ways to convey action, work with customers to define ways to interact with their customers, understand pitfalls and pain-points on life’s journey and helping you take command of your business.

So, what better way to describe a products life cycle, than using an old space opera about discovering boundaries, working through issues and learning from those actions or inactions while on your life’s journey. Let’s wrap this up, “Engage” the engines, to warp speed (let’s get out of here) and “Make it so”; the direction has been set, hold onto your seats.

Adverts – Celebrating Another Year

The Lead, 6 hours plus print, print – a Halot Sky Resin vat cover via an Ender 3 Max Neo… 5+ hours post starting time, we ran into issues. Lot’s of issues!

From missing hand (tension) screws, belts, PLA matter covering 40% or more of the printer/extrusion head, print matter splayed out around adhesion plate, off plate and more. Walked in on tension belt removing itself from the printer head (oh snap). I’ll share pictures below, anyhow, we have the printer head back together, PLA cleaned off, tension belts applied… next and not captured below, replace adhesion plate, tension screws, and machine restart for calibration. Look for update posts here in the next day or two.

Purpose of the print? I wanted to get a cover on the Halot Sky (V1) Resin vat… not sure where the original cover might have been misplaced, broken, scrapped or lost. Moreover, the print was lost, looks like the print didn’t adhere to the plate, ironing is off, and printer head was found plowing the print plate. By the way, not a great sound, tension belts releasing and printer head/plate friction. Anyhow, the print fix is in process, we will post more at a later date/time.

Next replace plate, hand screws, springs, restart/update firmware and calibration.
