Artwork – Mondrian Series

Mondrian, The Piet Study

A brief look into some work inspired by the Dutch Master Piet Mondrian (1872 – 1944). Check out the MoMA website for more information on Piet Mondrian to learn about him, his style, and the abstraction movement. These are the only pieces I could find, but there are others out there. In total, there are roughly 10 more pieces like the two deconstructed building works.

The Piet Study series spans roughly 12 or more years, with artwork given as gifts to family members, for weddings and more. The third piece features more deconstructed rectangles on canvas, sticking to brown tones, reminiscent of terracotta. Unfortunately, these are the only two pieces I have in my possession.

More on that later. For now, let’s us celebrate Mondrian and enjoy the artwork. Check out my latest sketches and artwork at @salleetech for progression photos. You can also explore other pieces and artwork under the category artwork.
