Lab Work – Trail Welding Video – @BleepinJeep, Welding On The Trail

Need a weld? In a bind? @BleepinJeep covers “Welding with Jumper Cables and Car Batteries”, in a handy video out on the trail.

Happy I have extra batteries, 2 – 8020-164 35 RedTop Optima Batteries (somewhere between 2-4 years old), perfect for trail riding and outages. Outages or broken parts, more specific, anything that can break while you’re rock climbing, sand railing, off roading, jumping, trailing, hopping or camping. That last one might be even more important, while having the camp necessities, power is required to run electrified gadgets and refrigerators. Always remember an additional battery if you can, If there is a complete outage, no battery juice, then the NOCO jump box will keep you going on the trail. Believe it, this is a great way to fix, weld and mend parts that can be re-welded while on the backroads, the trail or climbing. Check out @BleepinJeep and his Trail Welding video.

Lincoln Pro MIG 140

Tech | Tools – Lighting Sticks

MIGs, TIGs, Power, Power Supply… MIG/TIG and Power. Lighting axe? Lighting weld? Choose Lincoln Electric

Are we endorsing the the Lincoln Electric Pro 140? Yes, we are. Specs are provided below. It is 120volt, 140amp MIG Welder. Pricing may have changed, market availability as well, but we are sticking to our recommendation. We consider our selves ‘large stock newbies’ in the welding, tackling any project, big or small. MIG/TIG and Power? So, the question arises, when trying something new, what is the best product for a wide range of steel product for a wide range of steel, what is the cost, and what is the warranty? The possibilities are endless. What do you suggest? We are open to your feedback. What are your thoughts?

The Ask: Can we weld both MIG and TIG with a  complimentary plasma cutter? (Mitre Saw review coming soon). Which is easier to use, stick welding or auto feed welders? We need all the information! We are considering starting a new series on welding, mitre saws, and power supplies, focusing on more challenging jobs and scaling up from electronics to heavy stock steel possibly in the third quarter of ’22. Stay tuned.

As always, please leave a comment below and let us know you’re thoughts!
