@BleepinJeep – On the Go

Lab Work – Trail Welding Video – @BleepinJeep, Welding On The Trail

Need a weld? In a bind? @BleepinJeep covers “Welding with Jumper Cables and Car Batteries”, in a handy video out on the trail.

Happy I have extra batteries, 2 – 8020-164 35 RedTop Optima Batteries (somewhere between 2-4 years old), perfect for trail riding and outages. Outages or broken parts, more specific, anything that can break while you’re rock climbing, sand railing, off roading, jumping, trailing, hopping or camping. That last one might be even more important, while having the camp necessities, power is required to run electrified gadgets and refrigerators. Always remember an additional battery if you can, If there is a complete outage, no battery juice, then the NOCO jump box will keep you going on the trail. Believe it, this is a great way to fix, weld and mend parts that can be re-welded while on the backroads, the trail or climbing. Check out @BleepinJeep and his Trail Welding video.

The LockPicking Lawyer Picks The NES Lock

Tech | Tools – Lockpick NES Video – Latest From the LockPicking Lawyer

The LockPicking Lawyer continues to be one of the top content creators. For all intense and purposes, the LockPicking Lawyer is awesome.

With great content, a shop called Covert Instruments and now on Rumble, @lockpickinglawyers has gained 18k subs. He is fetching 4.5M on YouTube! That is crazy sub numbers. Honestly, this is a great channel, this makes learning fun. Learning how this LockPicking Lawyer unlocks all kinds of locks including locks on an ’80s NES console, is fascinating. The more interesting lockpicks are for car locks, bike locks, gadget locks (like the one featured in the NES Console Lock video), and simple unlocks. Some of the cylinder locks, the name brand “master” kind of locks, and the videos of locks being gutted… might be the best, giving an insiders look at how locks work. That is very cool.

This is a fantastic channel. It’s very interesting to understand that locks provide more piece of mind or act as a deterrent rather than actually keeping someone out of whatever is locked. Honestly, it’s crazy to think about how simple locks are, and how easily they can be unlocked with the right tools. It’s dastardly, and creepy!

Tecmo Bowl Video

NES Football Classic

NES Classic – Tecmo Bowl

Lab Work – Tecmo Bowl Video

Tecmo Bowl – Epic Cut Scenes, Great Football-like Plays, Easy-to-Play, Play As The Most Famous Players of the Time.

Tecmo Bowl… a classic NES football game… in my opinion, the first and best. Like racing games, there are only a few football games that stand out to me: Tecmo Bowl, the Madden Football Series, NFL Quarterback Club, John Elway’s Quarterback Football, College Football and NCAA College Football.

Maybe be there are more than I originally counted but that’s okay. The point is still relevant. Elway’s, Tecmo and Madden 2024… are on the Top 5, not necessarily in that order, but they represent over 38 plus years of football gaming. My only complaint is “that there is to much”, I prefer the simplicity of the earlier games, excluding Madden 2024. Sometimes that cut scenes and watered-down story lines get old quickly. Therefore, I find Tecmo Bowl and Elway’s more enjoyable these days(again, in my opinion you all might like prefer generational games like NCAA Football 2024, or Madden’24/’25).

Check out @nintendoComplete for Tecmo Bowl coverage, it’s peak coverage. Watch this video and others like it on YouTube Logo YouTube or check out our other videos found under the video category on our website.

Super Off Road Video

Take Duke’s Off Road Cup

Play Big Dukes – Super Off Road

Lab Work – Super Off Road Video

Might be Top 3. Go back and celebrate one of the best SNES games, SUPER OFF ROAD, BIG DUKES – SUPER OFF ROAD.

Play Now! Play Big Duke’s Super Off Road now! Super Off Road is a RC Pro AM style game (a game similar to RC Pro Am) except, RC Pro is much more difficult. It’s all relative, and that hasn’t changed since my RC Pro AM days. I can’t remember which course on Big Duke’s I liked the most, the water, the hay stacks… it’s been sometime… but my money was on the Blue Truck. Off Road was a great game, and the play-through is only a glimpse in time.

The game itself is still a masterpiece, still today, a fantastic game. It had a cool idea, a great racing theme, ease-of-use (relative to playing the game more than an hour or so). Control can be a little funky. But… a great implementation, design and truck racing game… more importantly you as the driver could improve the performance of the truck by investing in the following upgrades like Nitro’s, Acceleration (Engine), Tires, Top Speed, and Shocks. Hint – Nitro, Tires and Acceleration were my go to upgrades.

NES Commando

Take The Flag – Commando

Lab Work – Commando Video

@worldoflongplays presents “Take That Flag”, a full play-through of NES Commando!

One of the more difficult games back in the day was trying to ‘take the flag’ in the vertical scroll game, reminiscent of the Contra horizontal scroll or ‘metroid-vania’ style games. Not for the faint of heart, this game dates back to 1985 and features a difficult run and scroll format to Contra and other horizontal and vertical scroll games. As a child, I struggled with the difficulty of navigating those huts and towers, which seemed to always trip me up.

Speaking of Commando another game worth mentioning is Contra, a hybrid of the two styles with more of a horizontal scroll but sprinkled with vertical elements. I always thought Commando could benefit from this hybrid-scroll gameplay, which would have been my only complaint about the game.

In hindsight, I learned to take down the towers, bunkers and huts in Commando, which is why I appreciate the game even more now. Despite its difficulty, the game is fast-paced and becomes easier as you learn the strategies and puzzles of each level. Anyhow, the game is hard, fast-paced and ‘easier’ as you learn the game strategy and board puzzles. Unlike most games, the ending is interesting, (SPOILER) with a simple message thanking the player for completing the mission. It may seem underwhelming, but as an adult, it resonates with those who have serve in some capacity. It’s fascinating how art can reflect real life in unexpected ways. I recommend watching a video of this game on YouTube or playing it online if you have access to a platform like Nintendo Switch.

The Best, Puget Systems

Tech | Tools – Puget Systems Video

We choose Puget. From a far, we can’t wait to get our hands on one of these machines… Saving up for our own custom Puget.

Puget Systems brand computers… seriously, if you haven’t heard about these guys… this is not a paid advert, just a recommendation to check out them out. If money were no object per se, I’d have a top-of-the-line Puget desktop. Maxed out with the latest hardware. I’ve been following these guys for awhile, and they were also featured on a science channel… specifically discussing hardware specifications, customization and hardware potential. Which is great marketing in the social or content creator space on YouTube.

Anyhow, $6000-10000 and you’ve got yourself a heck of a machine. I don’t want to go into great detail here as I’m hoping you will check them out yourselves. For those of you running hot and needing extra power, speed, performance etc., these guys build, test and tune every component to match your needs. It’s truly incredible.

Look up Puget Systems in your free time… if you’re looking for a fully custom machine build. The specs. are eyeopening. Thanks.

Top Gun Video

NES – Top Gun Play-through @nintendoComplete

Lab Work – Top Gun Video, NES Games And Play-Throughs

@nintendoComplete is coming through for us with a little bit of 80’s movie and video game nostalgia,

This movie was epic, the game was epic… NES Top Gun was my first exposure to dog fighting… This game was so difficult. I can’t count how many hundreds of times I completed the first mission and failed to land on the aircraft carrier, which is key to game progression. Top Gun for NES, came out in ’86 or ’87, just after Top Gun the Movie ’86? Somewhere around that time. Honestly, this has nostalgia written all of it, both sides of the coin (referencing both the movie and the game).

It’s only fair to share a few pain points: landing and fuel… Gotta get better. The flight was fairly easy, not much to do. Guns and missiles – use missiles wisely… Avoid enemy danger at all costs, including SAM’s (surface to air missiles), fighters, mobile missile launchers, attack helo’s and the stray missile… Shoot those down if you can.

Ending is pretty epic… and I leave it at that!

Check out the NES Top Gun play-through by @nintendocomplete. Like and subscribe. Cheers

Take On Iron Mike Tyson’s

NES Punch-Out!

Lab Work – Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out! Video

@SummoningSalt No words can describe the childhood pain… SummoningSalt tears through this classic, Just awesome

No #GameGenie or code book here. I love this game, mentioned in another video – Kung Fu… boxing included in the beat’em playlist. SummoningSalt crushes this play-through, speed run in no time as Little Mac.

I always like the training scene, Mac and his trainer running along the lakeshore… maybe it was the anticipation of the Title Bout, the excitement from the passcode (being able to save the game) and learning which would-be adversarial boxer would come next. Reminiscent of the 1976 boxing movie featuring Philly boxer Rocky Balbao. Classic. Same with this 1987 NES classic Mike Tysons Punch-Out!

Anyhow, watch as @SummoningSalt takes down this Tyson’s Punch-Out! speed run.. times on the right-hand side and the margin of error. Awesome.

Contra Video

Remember – Up, Up, Down… Start

NES Contra

Lab Work – NES Contra Video play-through

Shout out to@Peg, for quickly completing this Contra play-through!

Contra – Up, Up, Down, Down, B, A (select for two players), start… 30 years later, I can still recall the ultimate game saver code made. Yes, that’s the Contra extra lives code. Select/start or Start, once the code is input on the home screen. This game, in parallel is a side-scrollering, run-and-gun game, like Commando (check that out). Contra one-ups Commando, hence the code recalled and shared above. The likelihood of success was higher extra lives code. Not because of skill! Sometimes you have to chuckle… man, I had no clue then.

Although the game was difficult, the extra lives helped me and my fellow players along. The Base 1 puzzle, Energy Zone and Alien Lair were some of the best boards I recall. My Contra play, study..ultimately helped me figure out boss patterns, the ‘thought’ outside the game, or puzzle solving and strategy. Like Mega Man, for those who have played, having the right weapon, in most cases the opposite of the boss. Fire/Water, Earth/Wind… same problem-solving is used today – Elden Ring, The Last Faith, and Black Myth Wukong, etc.

Guitar Notes Video

Sharps, Odd Numbered Frets and Memorizing

Scales, Guitar Mechanics, & Tabs

Lab Work – Guitar Notes Video – Quickly Learn Notes at Scale

Need help with scales?

Check out Steve Stine, covering notes and the circular note pattern

So, you’re looking for help, Steve can help. In this video, he (Steve) goes over notes and how to work within the system of octaves. I’m not going to try to cover what he does so well in this @GuitarZoom video. I looked for an easy way to learn the fretboard, sharps, and a way to memorize the notes on the fretboard. There are literally ten’s of thousands of videos, so what makes Steve’s videos different? Pace, memorization, easy-to-listen, easy to rewind and play again… all of the above. Like anything, you make it, what it is or it becomes. There are other @GuitarZoom videos and lessons on – skool.com. and learning packages highlighted on the site, but this one is a practical process to learn the fretboard, scales, repeating scales and octaves.

Honestly, I’ve not gone to ‘skool’ any more than the videos that are available via YouTube. However, when trying to accomplish 20 mins of practice a day. I go to this video so that I can memorize how the guitar is setup, the scales, octaves and how the guitar is setup. And working within the guitar system or repeating scales.

Take your time, keep practicing and master those notes. Shout out @GuitarZoom. Interested?
