With the holiday season in full swing, thought it might be worth while to do some research on a 3D printer… Should we go with Ender, Halot & Prusa 3D? Should we choose extruded filament or resin? Which brand offers the best cost/benefit ratio?

After conducting our research, in shop testing, we found a printer that meets the shop needs. Once the device has been received, we will porovide more information. Stay tuned for updates on the device, our 3D lab startup, and our first runs. Let me know in the comments below: should I choose Prusa or Creality CR Series Ender series or Halot Series?

3D Printers

There are a couple of different models, filament types, series, etc. to choose from. We are considering the Ender 5 Plus, Halot Series (Resin) versus the Prusa I3 MK3S+. Perhaps some other tools to go with the printer as well, such as wash/cure, filament, bed, boxes/enclosures, etc. There are lots of options to consider. The point is, we are looking for the best option for the shop. Help us understand why and what factors might have influenced your decision to purchase a 3D printer. Should we choose something else? Dremel, MakerBot, Ultimaker, LulzBot… there are more options out there, but it is time to narrow down the list.

Happy I have extra batteries, 2 – 8020-164 35 RedTop Optima Batteries (somewhere between 2-4 years old), perfect for trail riding and outages. Outages or broken parts, more specific, anything that can break while you’re rock climbing, sand railing, off roading, jumping, trailing, hopping or camping. That last one might be even more important, while having the camp necessities, power is required to run electrified gadgets and refrigerators. Always remember an additional battery if you can, If there is a complete outage, no battery juice, then the NOCO jump box will keep you going on the trail. Believe it, this is a great way to fix, weld and mend parts that can be re-welded while on the backroads, the trail or climbing. Check out @BleepinJeep and his Trail Welding video.

Solid Jumpstart Power

On that note, may I dar to say that this charger never fails. Every time the Jeep battery dies, the Schumacher Jumpstart box does the trick. Additionally, we rewired a section of the Jeep’s wiring system to run the car stereo, speakers, sub, amp, and new lights. As mentioned before, this charger provides a little extra kick when needed; the 100a engine start feature is a nice touch. For the price, on Amazon – $110.99, you cant beat it. Of course, pricing may vary. This charger has saved enough in batteries alone.

Next, the Schumacher keeps extra batteries in storage charged. The charger maintains and prepares batteries for their next job. At some point, we will use these batteries for some lowfi, lowtech home ‘metal working’, or in the case of running a quick fix on a trail-locked Jeep or 4-wheeler…

Using batteries in series will maximize your ability to get the job done in any trail condition. For our test case, we will be using metal working to weld some items around the house. This will allow us to scratch that old welding itch and learn how to fabricate metal at home. The main goal is to practice welding. Novice welding is suitable using a DC welding electrode to patch metal, fix broken metal items at home, or simulate a trail repair. Alternatively, you can also try a little welding at home. WW3 – Coalition Win – 4th Place. Game over. Ending with a 4th place finish, in this case, the South American Coalition merged victorious, leading me to a 4th place overall finish. JMVH claimed 1st with 3414 provinces and cities conquered. We covered everything from battleship research to destroyers, capturing cities like Aleppo, Kuwait, and Tehran before forming the alliance. Once the alliance was established, we swiftly moved to seize large portions of crucial cities, port cities, and continents. That strategy was clear: dominate the seas, conduct research, and conquer swiftly.

Our first priority was to build a navy, researching better equipment and resources. The game progressed quickly, with conquering happening fast. It was an overwhelming experience for our enemies. MagSafe Battery Pack

Let’s check out the AppleTV 4K & MagSafe Battery Pack… starting with the AppleTV. I’ve been using an older AppleTV 4K to complement the 4k monitors; but its time for an upgrade. Today is the day. I’ve decided to update the office AppleTV to AppleTV 4K to match resolutions, colors, etc. via dual screens used as separate displays. The purpose, MacBook Pro (MBP) has some shortcomings such as limitation of dual monitors or multi-monitors that are not NOT Apple branded. This seems to be a new limitation, and I’m not sure why this might be the case. I’ll leave that to your imagination to figure out. The goal is to use the new 4K version so that I’m not required to adjust resolutions to 3840 x 2160 over multiple monitors while reducing resolution/reducing pixel space via MBP settings for desktop views, apps, windows, etc.

That said, the new MBP still needs some work, I will be frank. I’m not a fan of the limited HDMI connections without Apple specific dongles or Apple monitors. I need to do address this at the hardware level while desiring to run dual screens without Apple-branded screens, monitors, or TV’s. This is a self-imposed limitation without dongles. Unfortunately, I’ve tried multiple dongles or HDMI extender hardware/software without success. iCreate products have their own limitations, and screen observations, meaning Apple OS updates create software problems by iCreate device for months… The idea is simple: run multiple screens as separate screens with the same resolution. More on the AppleTV 4K to come.

MagSafe Battery Pack

In the meantime, let’s cover the MagSafe Battery Pack. Are trips or travel in your near future? Tired of short-term battery usage, removing apps and settings to preserve battery life? Consider adding a Apple Mag Safe Battery Pack. I(we) added the Apple Mag Safe for long-term battery needs, away from the office, traveling, or going to the stores. Are you looking for a battery pack? The latest from Apple, is the MagSafe Battery Pack, also try the – Belkin BOOST Charge, Pro Magnetic Power Bank.

Honestly, these battery packs do the job and more. They are great for those who are always on the run, constantly using apps, and watching videos on their phones. If you are running multiple apps at once, playing games, watching videos, and more wirelessly, these battery packs are for you. You are not tethered to a wall or a power station. Start by buying one, and I’ll provide my final verdict in a couple of weeks. Check back soon.

Let’s check in on the latest mobile news, next month look for a new iPhone 12 testing series utilizing dual sims (one phone, two numbers). One onboard (physical) sim card and a new eSim (digital). So far, so good. It’s not as burdensome per se to juggle two numbers on one phone versus, two phones with separate operating systems. Nor is it exhausting to switch between the two mobile signals, wifi etc…

Next, I want to try out the automatic switch and manual switches between the two numbers, volume of calls and call clarity had some trouble with the Samsung G series signal moving between cities or town-to-towns. Regardless, here are a few tips on utilizing dual SIM cards – updates required iOS (15+ or higher). It states iOS 16 or + higher, or a combination of newer device and iOS.

Finally, I can confirm the switch from the Samsung to an iPhone 8, updated to iOS 15. The latest updates and patches are now available for the iPhone 8 build. Installation was uneventful. Let’s wrap up the last installation steps: 1. a simple switch of the Bluetooth, 2. agreement of transfer and 3. confirmation. 4. Activation is required, when moving from a physical SIM to an eSIM.

Once you’ve made the choice to convert, the SIM will move accordingly. Don’t quote me on the ‘when’, as a new series will cover the move, tweaks and behavioral changes for the switch. Clash – CoC Updates – Level 15, Hero Updates, Electro Titans, Monolyth and more

First, in the latest Super Cell update, our CoC Updates, Clash takes on a magical theme. Yes, I said it, magical. The magic theme is quite satisfying. Upgrades are kept to a minimum. Be prepared for the hero’s welcome, Hero’s, Electro Titans and Monolyth steal the spotlight in this update. The same goes for the new Hero Pets – Frosty, Diggy, Lizard and Phoenix. These cool little additions are nice bonus feature along side the magical elements introduced in this update. Although, Frosty, Diggy and the other pets are still a few weeks away in my games, I can see how they will complement hero attacks, attack strategy, and different types of attacks.

Farming, Trophy Hunting

Secondly, remember that upgrading farming remains core to the game as now that Level 15 has been reached. However, other games are lagging behind in the TH11 space and even TH6. For those of you who are just starting out, focus on building strategy, hero, and defensive upgrades first, followed by gold/elixir/dark elixir and army camps, and so on.

Thirdly, do not forget to upgrade your troops as often as possible, as your storage capacity increases with what I would consider secondary upgrades. Bombs, air bombs, walls, etc. should be upgraded last. From my own experience, upgrading walls and additional defensive measures is easier to do last because there is extra cash and elixir in the blank.

Lastly, there have been a few more CoC updates and added benefits. These benefits include O.T.T.O. in the builder hall as well as upgrades for the high-level battle machine. We do not cover everything, but focus on what we believe may be more motivating for early players or those new to the game. There is hope! Check out Legend League updates and more. Enjoy, Clash On!

CoN:WWIII – Conflict of Nations: WW3 is the new app in town. Team up with a friend, form a friendly coalition and conquer the US or the world. Games are available in both long and short (4 hour) formats. A friend and I decided to conquer the world starting with the short 4-hour game. This helped us learn the process, develop strategies, and build effective teams.

While games are not always a top priority for me, when they do catch my interest, Conflict of Nations: WW3 definitely did. I teamed up with Ivy to take on the world. This is my second time playing, while Ivy has been going strong for weeks, if not months. More on Clash of Clan shortly, I was just looking for a long term, Stratego or Dune but in a quick and user-friendly war game.
